Jeff Thomas
Jeffrey M. Thomas is a current business owner and former school teacher turned attorney. Jeff practices in several areas including family law, entertainment law, animal law, criminal law, and estate law to name but a few. Jeff has experience with veterans law, helping veterans to obtain the benefits owed to them post-service. Jeff believes that a small law firm with a “big law” mentality and ability is the absolute best way to serve clients’ needs. He covers all counties in the area including Oakland, Livingston, Ingham, Wayne, Macomb, and Washtenaw.
Prior to his legal work, Jeff was a former public-school teacher. He taught children at the elementary level in grades two and four. Jeff also has experience playing professional soccer in Trinidad & Tobago as well as several cities here in the U.S. Jeff also is currently a sole proprietor business owner in Michigan.
Jeff earned his B.A in English/Education at the University of Detroit-Mercy. He also earned his M.A in Sports Administration from Central Michigan University, and his J.D from The University of Detroit-Mercy School of Law. Jeff spent clinical-time while at the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Law in its first in the nation, Veterans Mobile Law Clinic.
Jeff lives in the Fowlerville area and enjoys spending most of his free time watching his three school aged (4th, 6th, 9th grades) daughters compete in their individual athletic events. Jeff also spends time with his two dogs and is an avid woodworker.
